Run the first payroll without a new workbook
A readiness list: structures, bank details, attendance exceptions, and what Worq will not file for you.
Readiness is more useful than a perfect formula
Before you start a run, every paid person needs a salary structure and a way to get paid. Attendance exceptions and pending leave should be decided or accepted as next-cycle adjustments.
Worq shows those gaps on the payroll overview. Treat them as the checklist.
Review, then publish payslips
The run calculates from the records you already keep. Review totals. When you accept the run, employees open payslips in self-service.
A closed period stays locked so a late punch does not silently rewrite a paid month.
Statutory packs are configuration, not a filing portal
Enable the packs you need. Tax slabs and contributions apply to the run. Filing with the government remains yours or your CA’s unless we have agreed a specific filing workflow.
